I may be FROM Detroit but my home is on the trail and I need to get back there. I'll be hiking from Lake Michigan, across the upper lower peninsula to Lake Huron. The purpose of this blog is to keep those who are interested informed and to encourage those who can to support me in this endeavor.

The Cracked Pot
Finally. After passing lots of less-than-friendly hunters, I met some nice folks at The Cracked Pot in Frederic, MI. Got a great cup of coffee from Devonne, a wifi signal and a chance to warm up.. Thanks Cracked Pot!
It's gonna be a Trail Thanksgiving for me again this year. Instant rice with dehydrated beans and my sister's custom spices. I'll have a big meal with my housemates when I get back and I'll be truly thankful for it!
Hurry up! You're going to miss Thanksgiving!
